About The Position

The Medical Readiness Specialist is responsible for directing the medical readiness mobility activities of the medical treatment facility. This role includes oversight of readiness programs, supply and equipment, and acting as the Anti-terrorism/Force Protection officer. The specialist will also assist with medical counter-chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear response actions, and will be involved in planning and executing the medical contingency response plan to support both war and peace time missions.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
• Completion of a background investigation and credit check is required.
• Ability to work on call during irregular work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Direct the medical readiness mobility activities of the medical treatment facility.
• Operate as the medical treatment facility Anti-terrorism/Force Protection officer, providing oversight of readiness programs, supply and equipment.
• Assist the medical control center with medical counter-chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear response and deployment actions regarding medical clinic personnel and requirements to support medical deployment.
• Plan and assign work for the readiness office, set and adjust short-term priorities and prepare schedules.
• Author the medical contingency response plan, to support war and peace time mission accomplishments along with exercise capabilities.
