About The Position

Mountain Eye Partners is seeking a friendly and professional Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth patient experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and possesses excellent communication skills. Our practice is dedicated to providing exceptional eye care services with a personal touch to both adult and pediatric patients. We utilize state-of-the-art technology and have a skilled ophthalmologist committed to delivering the highest standard of care. In this role, you will greet patients and visitors, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment. You will check patients in and out, verifying and updating necessary information, and schedule appointments to ensure efficient use of the provider's time and optimal patient flow. You will also answer phone calls and respond to inquiries, providing accurate information and directing calls to appropriate personnel. Assisting patients with completing registration forms and obtaining necessary documentation will be part of your responsibilities, along with verifying insurance coverage and processing necessary paperwork related to billing and claims. Maintaining patient records and ensuring their confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations is essential. Additionally, you will collect and process patient payments, providing receipts and documenting transactions accurately. Coordination with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient handoffs and effective communication is vital. You will also schedule patients for surgery at affiliated ASCs, obtain prior authorizations for surgery, manage office supplies, and maintain a clean and organized reception area. Assisting with administrative tasks as assigned by the Practice Manager will also be part of your duties.
