There is an opening for a Medical Physics Assistant Texas Oncology in the Gulf Coast Region, based in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate would be a recent CAMPEP medical physics program graduate who did not match with a residency program. The position encompasses a wide range of QA tasks, dosimetry tasks, radiopharmaceutical assistance, and clinical projects for 10 clinics in the area. The MPA would also work closely with two Medical Physics Residents. The position is designed to be mutually beneficial, providing the clinical teams with additional support and providing the MPA with valuable clinical experience to bolster their resume for the next residency cycle. There are several events occurring this year that would be valuable for an aspiring resident to see, including acceptance and commissioning of a new Varian Truebeam. This is a non-exempt position with a full benefits package and mileage reimbursement for travel between clinics.
