About The Position

Under direction of the Director of Medical Physics and Medical Director of Radiation Oncology provides clinical physics services and technical support to radiation oncology team that includes all aspects of external beam therapy, brachytherapy, special procedures, education of staff and compliance with all pertinent standards required by regulatory and accreditation bodies. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in the field of Medical Physics, PhD is preferred.
  • Current Board Certification by American Board of Radiology or Equivalent
  • Certified Radiation Expert (CRE) in the State of Ohio is preferred.
  • Five (5) years of experience in medical physics preferably in a large program delivering different treatment modalities.
  • Possesses knowledge and experience in treatment machines and planning computer systems.
  • Essential calculation and word processing skills.
  • Requires travel between main campus and off sites.
  • Available for evening or weekend physics support.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff members, and interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical and research experience associated with medical physics during the educational process is preferred.
