About Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 Beaumont doctors on faculty. Scope of Work The position of Medical Physicist involves a variety of wide ranging responsibilities within Diagnostic Radiology including the evaluation, acceptance testing and annual testing of x-ray equipment, the development and overseeing of quality assurance programs, the education of the medical staff, radiology residents and radiation technologists, regulation and compliance, radiation safety, research and development, interaction with vendors and service personnel (both internal and external) and special projects. Coverage and travel between the alternate sites of care is required. Follows Beaumont philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in physics, Medical Physics, or closely related discipline required.
  • 2 years of relevant experience required
  • CRT-Medical Physics-ABR (American Board of Radiology) Required Upon Hire or CRT-Medical Physics-ABMP (American Board of Medical Physics) Required Upon Hire.
