About The Position

Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is currently seeking a motivated radiation therapy physicist to join our team serving the Kansas City region. This full-time position will collaborate with our team of 6 physicists and 5 dosimetrists supporting 3 treatment centers treating 110 patients per day. The successful candidate shows initiative and commitment to clinical practice consistent with the ASTRO Accreditation Program for Excellence. The position offers a hybrid schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day remote work with additional flexibility as needed. The role involves providing clinical medical physics in an all-Varian integrated environment that includes 4 TrueBeam, 1 Clinac, 3 CT Simulators, 1 Bravos HDR, ARIA, and Eclipse treatment planning. The physicist will provide technical leadership to our clinics and assist the Chief Medical Physicist in optimizing clinical practice and implementing new programs. Additionally, the physicist will support special treatment procedures including frameless stereotactic radiosurgery with AlignRT, SBRT, VMAT, LDR, and Radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring adherence to departmental policy and state and federal requirements.

Requirements

  • Qualified Medical Physicist as defined by the AAPM.
  • Current ABR Therapeutic Medical Physicist certification.
  • 1 year of experience in Therapeutic Medical Physics.
  • Master's Degree.

  • Candidates who have completed Part I of the ABR certification process and are currently board eligible.
