About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to support patients receiving specialized medical supplies, including post-mastectomy products. This role plays a critical part in ensuring patients receive timely care by managing insurance verification, prior authorizations, and patient communication. The ideal candidate has strong experience in medical administrative support, excels in customer service, and understands the importance of working with patients in sensitive situations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a medical administrative, patient services, or healthcare office role
  • Strong knowledge of insurance processes, prior authorizations, and medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry systems
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with a medical supply company or DME provider
  • Background supporting oncology or post-surgical patients
  • Billing or coding knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
  • Process and follow up on prior authorizations
  • Coordinate patient orders for medical supplies
  • Communicate with patients regarding order status, documentation, and next steps
  • Work closely with providers, insurance companies, and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate patient records in EMR/EHR systems
  • Provide compassionate support to patients throughout the process
