About The Position

Position Overview Develop and lead an independent, externally funded research program in tobacco research. Publish impactful research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the OSUCCC – James, including basic scientists, clinicians, and translational researchers. Contribute to graduate and medical education through teaching, mentoring, and curriculum development. 10%- Participate in departmental and institutional service, including committee work and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• PhD or MD/PhD required
• Considerable post-doctoral experience in basic research required
• considerable experience in oncology required
• understanding of key components of grant writing and obtaining funding in support of research required
• experience with administration of funded research required
• Requires successful completion of a background check.
• Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen

Nice To Haves

• proven ability to write scientific reports and publish in scientific, peer-reviewed journals preferred
