About The Position

Geisinger is seeking BC/BE Hematology & Medical Oncology Physicians to join Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) in Scranton, PA. Their team is growing and breaking ground on a brand new cancer center, set to open its doors June 2025! Our providers are part of a collaborative team working with surgical oncology, palliative medicine, radiation oncology, pathology, diagnostic radiology, onsite chemotherapy mixing and behavioral medicine to deliver quality cancer care to our patients. Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
• Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology & Medical Oncology.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in clinical trials and research.
• Interest in teaching and training medical students and residents.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with surgical oncology, palliative medicine, radiation oncology, pathology, diagnostic radiology, and behavioral medicine.
• Participate in clinical trials and contribute to the MyCode Community Health Initiative.
• Train fellows and residents in hematology and oncology.
• Engage in clinical or informatics research.
• Provide quality cancer care to patients.
