About The Position

Outlying office MOSS/Float performs clerical functions associated with clerical support services, medical records, and admissions specialists. This person also learns multiple different programs across the center to provide coverage. The Float travels from multiple sites to different locations where coverage is needed. This person recognizes that they will come into contact, on a daily basis, with individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance use and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. This staff demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. They will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming phone calls, check/follow up on messages left on answering machine, and take and distribute phone messages
  • Maintain clinical scheduling calendars.
  • Create client electronic medical record and complete all required financial paperwork.
  • Collect payments for services rendered at time of appointments.
  • Responsibility of scanning of all applicable releases, copies of insurance cards, client identification cards, etc. into the electronic charts
  • Complete various medical records assignments including auditing, scanning in documentation and closing EMR.
  • Covers any support service area when vacant due to absences, vacations or vacancies
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
