Performs a variety of functions in the medical office involving general duties including but not limited to answering the telephone, communicating messages through email or Epic. Greeting, registering, and scheduling patient appointments. Collecting patient copayments, making appointment reminder calls, verifying insurance and pre-registration. Ensuring patient data is accurate. Taking live calls. Scanning and or uploading patient information to patients electronic chart. Must be able to provide backup for other positions and functions in the medical office including medical records, scheduling, insurance verification, patient referrals, etc. Must have the ability to float between multiple locations as assigned. Will be cross trained as required to work in both front office, back office, and scheduling. Will work to ensure patient confidentiality in all instances while maintaining a pleasant and professional appearance and conduct. This position will be based at the Plaza location but will likely float between the metro hospital locations as needed.
