Medical Office RN/LPN/MA / Wood County Medical Associates / Full Time In accordance with the mission of Wood Health Company, and within the scope of the Ohio Board of Nursing, the Registered Nurse (RN) will provide clinical and administrative support in a medical office setting, under the direction of the physician and office manager/coordinator. The RN is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization. Job Description: Assist physician or provider with patient assessment, examinations and treatments. Set-up for various procedures and assists the physician or provider in treatments such as surgical procedures, pelvic exams, and other medical modalities. Documents patient care observations and activities according to professional standards and procedures. Administers routine injections under the direction and supervision of a provider. Triages patient phones calls, in accordance with office policy. Promptly responds to patient phone calls and concerns. Telephones/faxes prescriptions under the direction of a physician or provider. Assists in emergency situations under the direction of the physician or provider. Obtains specimens (i.e. throat, urine, wound, etc) using proper technique and following policy and protocol for labeling. Performs CLIA waived testing, and other testing within the scope of practice and under the supervision of a physician or provider. Maintain a clean, well-stocked patient care area, observing techniques and all other federal mandates, (i.e. OSHA, CLIA). Pull charts for current day patient call, refills, etc. Accurately files charts. Performs pre-certification/prior authorization when necessary.

Requirements

  • Required License/Certification: Licensed RN or LPN in the state of Ohio, or Registered/Certified Medical Assistant
