About The Position

In accordance with the mission of Wood Health Company, the Medical Office Receptionist provides positive communication and professional excellence while interacting with the patients. This position serves as the primary contact between the office, patients and outside parties.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum Experience: 6 months receptionist required

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors and makes them feel welcome in the practice.
• Answers multi-line phone system.
• Schedule appointments following practice protocol.
• Verifies and enters patient demographics and copies/scans insurance cards.
• Updates patient’s demographic information at each visit.
• Inputs daily charges and receipts.
• Creates new patient charts in accordance with practice policy.
• Reminder Phone Calls
• Calls for referrals (other M.D. offices and insurance companies)
• Calls for authorization to miscellaneous insurance companies.
• Does necessary updates on forms, paperwork, etc.
• Makes copies when needed.
