About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity available for a CONTRACT Medical Office Receptionist which is onsite in McKinney, TX at Questcare Medical Clinic, Primary Care. The Medical Office Receptionist provides administrative support to different functions within the office setting and acts as the first point of contact ambassador. This is a contract position for a 3 month term with the possibility to go fulltime. This position is a Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM - No weekends!! Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience in an administrative supporting role required.
  • Thorough understanding of a medical facility's processes and practices.
  • Flexible and able to multitask with a sense of urgency.
  • Professional and courteous communication.
  • Must have flexibility to work in other local clinics to cover shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
  • A recent graduate of a Medical Office Administration or Medical Office Management program will be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Prior EMR (Electronic Medical Records) experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting all patients as they enter the clinic.
  • Checking in and out patients.
  • Scheduling patient appointments.
  • Calling insurance/verifying all medical benefits.
  • Proccessing in and outgoing referrals.
  • Completing tasks involved with value based care.
  • Collecting appropriate patient balances including copays, deductibles, coinsurance and past due balances.
  • Reconciling end of day collections.
