About The Position

The ideal candidate for this receptionist type position will have a minimum of 1-3 years of medical office experience. Excellent communication skills are essential. A knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills are a must. Job duties include but are not limited to: · Providing information to patients · Obtain patient signature on specified documents · Schedule follow-up appointments · Enter patient recall information · Verify phone number for referrals · Answer phones and schedule appointments · Confirm appointments for next business day · Clerical duties as assigned Qualifications: · High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) (Required) · Minimum one year recent experience working in a medical facility as a patient services representative (PSR) or check-out person. (Preferred) Skills: · Skill in tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions · Accurate typing skills · Ability to operate general office equipment · Ability to manage multi-line phone system Abilities: · Ability to learn and retain information regarding procedures · Ability to project a pleasant and professional image · Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks · Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others · Work in team atmosphere Schedule: After introductory period schedule will be 9- 5:30 Monday & Friday; 10 - 6:30 Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. You must be able to work this schedule.
