About The Position

The Medical Office Receptionist at Heart & Vascular Specialists plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient patient check-in and administrative support in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic environment. This full-time position requires strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks while providing excellent customer service to patients and supporting the clinic's operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Six months of medical experience in a clinic (preferred).
  • Six months of business office customer service experience (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance authorization and billing requirements.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of clinic procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, multi-provider clinic environment.
  • Outgoing personality with a friendly attitude.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Performs patient check-in at the time of visit and completes all necessary paperwork for efficient admitting processes.
  • Schedules appointments according to office guidelines.
  • Obtains accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts.
  • Conducts all functions associated with patient check-in, including pricing services and scheduling follow-up appointments.
  • Confirms next day appointments and informs patients about required documentation and time-of-service payments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
