About The Position

OMNI Neurological, Orthopedic & Spine Center is a multi-specialty practice of board-certified, experienced, and recognized surgeons. We provide neurological and traumatic brain injury (TBI) evaluations, minimally invasive cervical and lumbar procedures as well as more complex spine and orthopedic surgeries. We serve Florida with locations in Miami, Plantation, and Orlando. We are looking for a highly organized and friendly Medical Office Scheduler to join our team. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a front desk or administrative role in a medical office preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check-in patients as they arrive for appointments, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
  • Answer and manage incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the office calendar efficiently.
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary documentation.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide information about office policies, procedures, and services.
  • Maintain and update patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
  • Ensure the front desk area is organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
