About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and adaptable Medical Office Coordinator - Float to join our healthcare team in Maryville, IL. This role requires flexibility to support multiple medical office locations as needed, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent patient service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and standard office software (e.g. Microsoft Office).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between office locations as required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and insurance processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support across various medical office locations on a rotating or as-needed basis.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, registration, and check-in/check-out processes efficiently.
• Manage patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and external vendors to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
• Assist with billing, insurance verification, and processing patient payments.
• Maintain office supplies and equipment, coordinating with vendors for timely replenishment and repairs.
• Support the implementation of office policies and procedures to improve workflow and patient experience.
• Handle phone inquiries and direct calls appropriately, providing excellent customer service at all times.
