About The Position

Responsible for general receptionist, registration, and billing duties in a physician office setting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Prior administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Individual must be customer and employee focused, must have demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

  • Manages phones
  • Greets patients
  • Schedules/confirms appointments
  • Enters demographics & patient information
  • Verifies insurance coverage, completes forms, collects co-pays
  • Balances cash
  • Maintains schedule in EMR system, processes pre-certs/authorizations & referrals, and medical records releases
  • Other related duties as assigned
