More about our team Our family medicine providers offer comprehensive healthcare to individuals of all ages, from infants to older adults. Family physicians are trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, as well as provide preventive care and health education to their patients. At Rutherford Physician Practices, our providers address the healthcare needs of individuals and families over time, forming long-term relationships with our patients.

Requirements

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

Providing front office support duties including, but not limited to, obtaining referrals and pre-certifications, collecting co-pays and missing patient data, scheduling appointments, and coding fee slips.
Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
Maintains examination areas.
Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
Reviews provider orders prior to patient leaving the clinic.
Obtains informed consent for invasive procedures.
Schedules referral appointments as necessary or as instructed by the provider.
Maintains patient information in the computer system.
Schedules and registers patients.
Post charges, completes paperwork, collects copays, deductibles and account balances.
Assists in the completion of "end of day balancing/closing" and deposit preparations for courier pickup.
