About The Position

TekSystems is currently hiring for a Medical Office Assistant in the Dundalk, MD area! Description Checking patients in and out of their appointments. This individual will be sitting at the front desk. They will be entering charges but they will be taking calls from internal employees. They will be using IDX software and medconnect and collecting copays so there will be some cash handling/cards and checks. Answering all phones, ensuring patient flow and comfort level is positive, handling financial aspects, copays, etc. They will also be verifying insurance information using IDX. They will be assisting the providers with various processes as well. They will be communicating with the staff and working with the providers on medconnect. They will be answer updating patient demographic information accurately into the system.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of medical office assistant, front desk, medical assistant, or similar experience!
  • Prior authorizations experience!
  • Customer service

  • 1-2 years of medical front desk experience

  • Checking in and checking out experience
