Must be able to train onsite in Baltimore, MD for 1-2 weeks from 8am-5pm. As a Medical Office Assistant for Pediatrics, you'll: Provide excellent customer service to our patients in general surgery at Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. Receive incoming and make outbound telephone calls to schedule appointments, process patient medication refills, process referrals, and take messages for the providers. Check patients in and out, collect copays, and respond to patient messages. Work in the EPIC queue and in-basket. Verify insurance and collect demographics.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years experience in healthcare or customer service preferred.
  • Ability to successfully pass all required training to obtain security access to perform role. Includes, but not limited to: Electronic medical record training, Insurance training-foundations, government and commercial.
