The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) participates in the multi-disciplinary process of providing care and service to patients and their families via selected clinical tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to: Supplies inventory, stocking and ordering, rooming patients, taking vitals, performing phlebotomy and EKGs, specimen collection, medical record documentation, chart preparations, point of care testing (POCT) and otherwise assisting providers with exams and minor surgical procedures. Actively supports physicians & nurses & be an enthusiastic participant in departmental meetings & actively identify ways to improve processes & service to patients.
