About The Position

The Medical Office Administrative Assistant will work with management, physicians, FNP's, PA's and service vendors to support CNY Family Care operations and objectives. This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with a flexible schedule, offering a pay range of $20 to $25 per hour. The role is non-exempt and involves various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the medical office.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in Healthcare setting preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity or experience with an EMR and basic Accounting software is preferred.
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain provider's schedules in Medent, including entering schedule change requests and updating nursing schedule changes.
  • Coordinate all credential paperwork and re-credentialing for physicians in PECOS and other insurance websites as required.
  • Maintain and update the providers CAQH portal and track renewal of all licenses, professional dues, malpractice insurance, and hospital reappointment paperwork.
  • Assist the CFO with accounts payable including data entry.
  • Update and track time off requests for providers in payroll system.
  • Coordinate work orders with maintenance and service vendors as needed.
  • Order supplies.
  • Type correspondence and documents as needed.
  • Coordinate assignment of security fobs.
  • Create reports and spreadsheets as requested by supervisor and/or other managers.
