About The Position

The Nursing Professional Development Staff Educator is accountable for implementing and supporting programs for staff development, education, quality, and evidence-based practice. The Nurse Educator must have strong presence on the clinical units to advance competencies of nursing department staff. Facilitates assessment and identification of practice gaps and learning needs. Supports onboarding, transitions to practice, continuing education and academic student placement experiences. Requirements

  • BSN required, Master's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
  • MA RN licensure required.
  • Clinical or professional specialty certification required within 1 1/2 years.
  • 3-5 years of nursing practice experience required; critical care experience preferred.
  • Experience in facilitating precepting, training and or education programs required.
