About The Position

GateHouse Treatment is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) / Medical Liaison to serve in a shared, hybrid support role across residential operations and medical coordination functions. This position is ideal for a candidate who is client-centered, reliable, and comfortable working across disciplines , supporting both day-to-day care in clinical setting and coordination with medical providers to ensure continuity of care. The role is primarily BHT-focused, with additional Medical Liaison responsibilities to support communication, scheduling, documentation flow, and patient support related to medical services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, residential treatment, or human services
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
  • Willingness to cross-train and flex between responsibilities as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a BHT, Medical Assistant, or healthcare support role
  • Familiarity with SUD treatment environments
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience with electronic health records or clinical documentation systems

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, day-to-day support to clients in a residential SUD treatment setting
  • Monitor client safety, behavior, and milieu in accordance with program policies
  • Support daily schedules, groups, routines, and structured programming
  • Document observations, incidents, and shift activity accurately and timely
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and client orientation
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and respectful environment at all times
  • Serve as a communication bridge between residential staff and medical providers
  • Support coordination of medical appointments, follow-ups, and transport logistics
  • Assist with tracking medical orders, lab needs, and documentation flow
  • Communicate client medical needs or concerns to appropriate clinical staff
  • Support medication-related processes within scope and training
  • Ensure timely handoff of information between medical, clinical, and operations teams
