About The Position

Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures. This position acts as a resource for Medical Laboratory Technicians and Lab Assistants. Supports and assists Lead Medical Technologist.

Requirements

• BSMT(ASCP) or equivalent as defined by CLIA’88
• Three (3) years of as Medical Technologist is preferred.
• General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities
• Nevada State Licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• ASCP or equivalent board registration/education required to satisfy Nevada License requirements must be maintained.
• New CLS graduates must receive certification within 6 months of hire.
• New graduates or applicants that do not currently have a NV license, must obtain a NV state provisional license prior to hire and must obtain a permanent license upon expiration of the provisional license.
• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality of patient care appropriately (specific age competent).
• Must possess appropriate people skills, organization and attention to detail.
• Must desire to act as a resource and provide assistance as required.
