About The Position
The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) at Sutter Health performs essential laboratory procedures on biological specimens to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing, treating, monitoring, and preventing diseases. This role involves conducting basic laboratory tasks, including phlebotomy, specimen processing, and quality control, while adhering to regulatory standards to ensure patient safety and privacy. The MLT is responsible for reporting lab results accurately and timely, and may also manage blood inventory and prepare blood products if assigned to the Transfusion Service.
