About The Position

This position is for new clinic opening tentative June/July in Dakota Dunes SD. This would be a Monday through Friday position to provide on-site phlebotomy and lab services. Would like to hire this position ASAP and begin training at another Sanford location prior to opening the new clinic. Responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing. Follows standard operating procedures and ensures laboratory safety, quality and regulatory requirements are met. Serves as a laboratory resource to other health care personnel and collaborates with other departments across the enterprise. Requirements

  • Associates degree in Laboratory Science required.
  • Possess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency, for example American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP); or be registry eligible.
  • Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment.
  • If working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed or have a provisional license, by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice.
  • Maintain continuing education credits equivalent to the state requirements as needed for license and certifications.
  • May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
