About The Position

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist for a permanent opportunity in Bradenton, Florida. This role supports a hospital laboratory environment focused on accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The Medical Technologist performs routine and STAT clinical laboratory testing across multiple technical disciplines while exercising independent judgment to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results. This position requires comfort working independently, covering multiple areas of the lab, and maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety standards. Under the direction of laboratory leadership, the Medical Technologist applies theoretical concepts of laboratory medicine, follows written procedures, and complies with all regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include maintaining competency and regulatory scheduling in Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology sections, performing specimen collection and processing as needed, and supporting departmental goals related to service excellence, patient safety, and operational performance. Employment Details: This is a permanent, full-time position in a hospital laboratory setting. Candidates must be comfortable working autonomously and covering all laboratory areas as needed. Compensation: Hourly pay is based on experience.

Requirements

  • Nationally recognized certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP preferred)
  • Florida State Medical Technologist license required (generalist preferred; minimum of three laboratory areas required)
  • Associate Degree in Medical Technology required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of hospital laboratory experience preferred
  • Blood Bank experience preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and cover all laboratory areas
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves
