About The Position

Heartline Staffing is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a full-time, permanent opportunity in Bradenton, Florida. HEARTLINE STAFFING is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. This role supports hospital laboratory operations by performing stat and routine clinical laboratory testing across licensed technical disciplines under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor, Manager, or Director. The Medical Laboratory Technician applies theoretical laboratory medicine concepts with independent judgment to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable patient results. The technician will perform testing and maintain competency in Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology sections of the laboratory while ensuring compliance with written procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. Responsibilities include specimen collection, processing, referral testing, and supporting departmental goals related to service excellence, patient safety, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and team collaboration. This role requires comfort working independently and covering multiple areas of the laboratory as needed. Employment Details: This is a permanent, full-time hospital-based position.

Requirements

  • Nationally recognized Medical Technologist certification required (ASCP preferred)
  • Active Florida State Medical Technologist license required
  • Must be licensed in at least three laboratory areas; full lab licensure preferred
  • Associate Degree in Medical Technology with formal medical technology training required
  • Minimum of 3 years of hospital laboratory experience preferred
  • Blood Bank experience strongly preferred
  • Must be comfortable working independently and covering all laboratory areas
  • Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Blood Bank experience strongly preferred
  • full lab licensure preferred
