About The Position
Heartline Staffing is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a full-time, permanent opportunity in Panama City, Florida. HEARTLINE STAFFING is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. In this role, the Medical Laboratory Technician performs technical laboratory testing to support accurate diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. The position includes chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and immunology testing while ensuring quality control, proper specimen handling, and accurate documentation. The Medical Laboratory Technician will report test results following established protocols, promptly alerting providers and nursing staff of abnormal findings. Responsibilities include maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies, performing calibration and cleaning procedures, and ensuring compliance with laboratory standards and safety regulations. Employment Details: This is a permanent, full-time position with day or night shifts, including rotating weekends. Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Rotating Weekends) Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Rotating Weekends)
Requirements
- Medical laboratory experience preferred; training available for licensed generalists
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate Degree or higher preferred
- MLT, ASCP, CPT, or AMT certification required
- Active State of Florida Medical Laboratory Technician license required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
- Ability to accurately document and report laboratory results
