Medical Laboratory Technician
About The Position
The Medical Lab Technician’s primary responsibility will be the support of the UNC CTU Lab Operations. This position will be responsible for specimen collection, processing, and shipment, maintenance of electronic and paper-based research records and regulatory documents in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as GCLP . The Lab Tech will work as part of a team and support the Investigators of Record, the Research Coordinator(s), and other research team members. The Lab Tech’s main work location will be on UNC -Chapel Hill’s campus, processing samples in UNC’s main shared outpatient research clinic, the CTRC , as well as the Advanced Technology Laboratory Core ( ATLAB ) of the UNC CFAR . Travel to other local sites (such as UNC’s Eastowne Outpatient Clinic) may also be required, depending on the unit’s current needs. This position will provide support to our entire Infectious Disease Research Portfolio.
