About The Position

A confidential healthcare laboratory is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join their Core Lab team. This role supports critical testing functions across Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis/Body Fluids, and Serology.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technician, Chemical Science, Biological Science or equivalent experience.
• MediClear certification or equivalent required.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work efficiently in a high-volume lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and standardized laboratory tests using established techniques and equipment.
• Prepare, label, and store specimens; resolve specimen problems and conduct analytical testing.
• Prepare reagents, controls, and standard materials; monitor reagent levels and supply needs.
• Record and report test results, highlighting any abnormal findings to supervisors or physicians.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test performance.
• Instruct patients on test preparation (including fasting) and answer related questions.
• Assist with training of new staff, clinical students, and residents as needed.
• Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
