Medical Laboratory Technician, Davie Medical Center, Weekend Days
About The Position
Performs tests and analyzes body fluids and tissue or prepares blood components/products to provide high quality, comprehensive medical laboratory results in compliance with section policies and procedures. Position Highlights: Shift Schedule: Full-Time, Weekend Day Shift. Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7AM-7:30PM Department: Davie Medical Center Laboratory Location: Mocksville, NC How You’ll Impact Patient Care: Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Ensures accuracy and timeliness of patient laboratory test results. Ensures quality of test results by following defined Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures. Ensures safety and compliance. Maintains appropriate education to accomplish work objectives and maintain current certifications as applicable. Ensures productive and efficient operations of the section and department. Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
Requirements
- Associate degree required.
- MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Medical Lab Technician preferred.
