About The Position

Provides professional, competent, safe, appropriate direct patient care in the analysis of samples from patients age newborn and older; management of all documentation related to testing and resulting, management of communication between the Laboratory and ancillary and off campus sites, both verbal and hardcopy documents. Maintains a professional, cooperative interaction with all hospital departments, medical staff, and the public in keeping with the mission and philosophy of Manatee Memorial Hospital. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Florida State licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician under the provisions of Chapter 483.
• Licensure in the specialties of Immunohematology, Microbiology, Serology/Immunology, Clinical Chemistry, and Hematology.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• ASCP certification is preferred.
• Excellent Computer skills.
• Associate Degree level Medical Laboratory Technician is preferred.
