Pay: Starts at $21/hour with an additional 10% Night Shift Differential Schedule: Training Period (First 2–3 weeks): Monday – Thursday: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM After Training (Permanent Schedule): Wednesday – Saturday: 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM Benefits: Access to cutting-edge laboratory technology and resources. Physical requirements, in addition to willingness & ability to wear protective gear while working, are: Ability to sit and or stand for extended period of times Lift up to 25 pounds Mobility to climb stairs on a regular basis Must be able to distinguish color and pass vision acuity test in compliance with CAP regulations OSHA Category: This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.

Requirements

• Education & Scientific Knowledge: A Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Science field is required. Relevant fields may include, but are not limited to: Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline. Strong foundational knowledge of laboratory practices, principles and equipment.
• Maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients.
• Technical & Professional Skills: Skilled in multitasking and problem-solving in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Teamwork & Compliance: Collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiar with HIPAA regulations and dedicated to patient confidentiality.
• Must utilize appropriate protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, and face shield) at all times while in the lab and are regularly exposed to infection by handling potentially infectious samples.

Nice To Haves

• Coursework or prior experience in microbiology, molecular biology, or clinical laboratory sciences is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support Lab Operations: Perform a broad range of laboratory procedures and assist Medical Technologists (MTs) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) in Microbiology.
• Operate Advanced Equipment: Work with automated laboratory instruments, electronic systems, and precision tools, providing troubleshooting support when needed.
• Ensure Quality: Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance initiatives to maintain our high standards.
• Administrative Excellence: Deliver exceptional customer service, answer phones professionally, and ensure accurate documentation while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
• Safety First: Follow established safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
