About The Position

Medical Laboratory Scientist at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is per-diem and will work 8-hour, Variable shifts. Under the general supervision of the Administrative Director of the Laboratory, performs accurate analysis of laboratory specimens. Must demonstrate a high degree of proficiency and understanding in laboratory procedures in one or more sections of the Pathology Department or demonstrates competency in three or more sections, to facilitate quality patient care and diagnosis. Participates in solution of technical problems requiring a great degree of independent judgment and assists in development of testing in the assigned section(s). Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree - Clinical laboratory science (Chemistry, Microbiology, Physics, Biology) OR a related life science.
• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Hospital laboratory experience preferred, but not required.
