About The Position
Medical Laboratory Scientist Department: Blood Bank Location: Trinity Health Ann Arbor Status: Full Time, 40 hours a week Shift: Approx 3pm-11:30pm $8,000 sign on bonus available for new colleagues Applicants for this position must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor an employment visa for this position. The Trinity Health Lab is a fast-paced and automated area of the comprehensive healthcare system. We have a diverse group of medical technologists, and our employee satisfaction is very high. Located in Trinity Health System Ann Arbor you will be centrally located to the art, culture, academics, entertainment, and activities that Ann Arbor provides. Under general supervision, performs qualitative and quantitative laboratory tests on patient specimens, according to established standards and practices. Analyzes test results and prepares samples for testing. Is knowledgeable of the principles and clinical significance involved in test procedures and uses this expertise daily. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, or university in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science.
- May consider a bachelor’s degree in science with a combination of 2 years of relevant work experience in a laboratory setting.
- Proof of educational transcripts must be submitted at time of application.
- Applicants for this position must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Medical Technologist (MT)/Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) – ASCP, or NCLS certification preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Prior clinical work experience in a Blood Bank laboratory setting is desired.
