About The Position
OB/GYN Associates of Erie's laboratory is a moderate sized private laboratory that offers our OB/GYN and Primary Care patients moderate and high complexity laboratory services. The laboratory on Peach street receives samples drawn and collected from our main office and network of 5 satellite offices in Erie, Titusville and Corry, PA and Ashtabula, OH. Our dedicated Laboratory team consists of 11 Phlebotomists and 5 Technologists who strive to provide the most efficient and highest quality medical laboratory services to our patients in the communities that we serve. OB/GYN Associates is searching for an energetic, self-motivated Medical Laboratory Scientist MLS/MT/MLT to join our dedicated laboratory team. Sign on bonus of up to $6,000 for certified individuals Full-Time 40 hours/week Monday – Friday 9-530 PM No weekends and 6 paid Holidays Comprehensive Benefits Package including Paid-Time-Off 401k
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or equivalent education and experience as defined by CLIA for performing moderate or high complexity testing
- Associates degree in Biology, Chemistry or equivalent education and experience as defined by CLIA
- Successful MLS, MT or MLT certification within one year of hire
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
- Broad knowledge of basic laboratory techniques
- In-depth understanding of operating practices and polices
- Comfortable using computer technologies and laboratory equipment
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work independently as well as part of a team

- Manage workflow for aliquoting patient specimens and sample accessioning
- Ensure laboratory equipment is clean, functional, and calibrated

- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Respect and follow patient confidentiality laws
