About The Position
Wagner Community Memorial Hospital and Clinic is seeking a qualified individual to join our team! The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician performs a variety of chemical, hematologic and microscopic procedures following established standards and practices. Also performs clerical duties with exceptional customer service. Must ensure compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients, ranging from newborn to elderly.
Requirements
- Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
- MT/MLS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university
- MLT: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) Certificate or other verifying documentation of passing the certification test is required.
- Current CPR certification or completion upon next available program is required.
