Requirements

• Education: AS degree in Medical Laboratory Science, BS Degree Medical Laboratory Science or BS Degree in a Biological Science with 1-year clinical lab experience. ASCP certified, eligible or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum experience 0-1 year in a Clinical Laboratory, new graduates welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Understands and adheres to Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
• Demonstrate knowledge and adhere to laboratory and hospital policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates technical competency by performing a wide variety of laboratory techniques. These include moderate to highly complex tests.
• Demonstrates sufficient knowledge and skills to independently operate instrumentation and/or assigned benches.
• Operates all department equipment safely and according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Performs preventative maintenance and troubleshoots instruments failures.
• Participates in activities that demonstrate professionalism, a commitment to competency and career growth.
• Performs other duties as assigned to assure efficient operations of department, including covering other lab sections.
