About The Position

Baptist Health is currently seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II to join our dynamic Lab team at Baptist Health Jacksonville. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist II with Baptist Health, you'll play a key role in performing and overseeing a variety of testing procedures, including: Chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, hematology, and some serology Operating Beckman instruments and our automation line for chemistry, hematology, and coagulation Collaborating with a close-knit team of 7-8 Medical Technologists and four Specimen Processors Serving as General Supervisor and acting as Charge Technologist when needed Assisting with onboarding and training new employees and students You'll also be responsible for maintaining technical records, ensuring quality control, and supporting lab operations with minimal supervision. This candidate is required to be licensed as a Medical Technologist in the State of Florida and in the areas of Chemistry and Hematology. License note: Candidates licensed prior to 1997 are not required to have certification per the State of Florida Licensure Rules. Requirements

  • Licensed as a Medical Technologist in the State of Florida and in the areas of Chemistry and Hematology
  • 2 years Medical Technologist Experience

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Medical Technologist (MT) Preferred
  • Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Preferred
