About The Position

The Medical Laboratory Scientist II position in Cincinnati, OH, is a critical role that involves performing test procedures of moderate to high complexity. This position requires the exercise of independent judgment and responsibility in the specialties for which the individual is qualified by education, training, and experience. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with rotational weekends. The role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and includes a 10% evening shift differential and a 10% rotating weekend differential. The pay range is $34.50 per hour, with potential eligibility for additional shift differentials based on hours worked. Candidates may also be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Knowledge of regulatory standards in laboratory settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform test procedures of moderate/high complexity in qualified specialties.
• Exercise independent judgment and responsibility in laboratory testing.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory standards and protocols.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Document and report test results accurately and timely.
