What to Expect Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 10:00 am - 6:30 pm 2nd Shift Differential 9% Weekend Shift Differential 8%
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent (must receive MLS certification within 6 months of eligibility) or Bachelor's degree in approved Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc) and currently possess certification from an accredited agency as MT/MLS
- State licensure as required by regulations
- 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist educational requirements or 5 years or more experience as Medical Laboratory Technician
Responsibilities
- Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.
- Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.
- Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
