About The Position

The position involves performing both simple and complex analyses on tissue, blood, and body fluids using laboratory instrumentation, manual methods, and standard operating procedures. The individual will also be responsible for training other technical personnel in laboratory tasks and approving the performance of tests conducted by technicians. This role requires the use of independent judgment and accountability for maintaining high-quality standards in laboratory work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent that meets qualifications for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist from the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel.
  • Must meet state licensure requirements as stated in FL Statue 64B3-5.003.
  • One (1) year experience in NAACLS approved program.
  • One (1) year working as a Technologist in a hospital laboratory.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, or related field (for new hires effective October 1, 2024).
  • Academic equivalent or academic and work experience combination equivalency acceptable.
