The Program Director is responsible for the overall administration, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Medical Laboratory Science Program. This role ensures academic, and accreditation standards are met across didactic, laboratory, and clinical components. Responsibilities include faculty supervision, curriculum development, budget management, student recruitment, industry engagement, and regulatory compliance.

  • Master's degree in medical laboratory science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a certified medical laboratory technologist
  • At least two (2) years in clinical laboratory practice
  • At least two (2) years teaching in an accredited medical laboratory program
  • Licensed by the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
  • Doctoral degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
  • Two (2) years teaching in an accredited medical laboratory program as appointed faculty or clinical preceptor
