Requirements
- High school education / GED
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Nice To Haves
- National Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
- Phlebotomy Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs skin punctures to obtain blood specimens for laboratory testing.
- Responsible for prompt, accurate processing of test requisitions, accurate charging, registering and ordering tests for outpatients, informing techs of stats and other timed or urgent testing.
- Telephone patients, physicians and nursing units when required.
- Maintains neat and organized collection trays, collection areas and work areas.
- Persons in this position are expected to demonstrate logical, professional behaviors under demanding and stressful conditions.
