Responsibilities include performing diagnostic testing in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology, with occasional assistance in phlebotomy. Employees should be proficient in the use of laboratory analyzers and equipment, including running quality controls, performing calibrations, and applying professional judgments when evaluating complex or non-routine laboratory results. Experience working in a hospital or primary care outpatient clinic and familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems is preferred. Requirements

Minimum of associate’s degree in medical technology
Valid ASCP certification or equivalent required
2-3 years’ experience as a MLT or CLS in a Hospital Medical Lab
Hospital experience
Phlebotomy skills
Computer Charting experience
Must be a US citizen
Active Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must be willing to pass Federal Security Clearance
Immunization records will be required

Nice To Haves

Bachelors in a related field preferred
IHS experience a plus
Experience providing care to patients within a rural area
Familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems is preferred
