About The Position
Medical Lab Tech Position Summary Performs routine laboratory tests in various sections of the laboratory. Reports to the Director of Laboratory Services. Essential Functions Additional Information Patient Populations Served: Does not directly treat or care for patients. Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record. Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees. Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, computer/data entry, and instrument handling; occasional standing, walking, and light lifting. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Science required.
Nice To Haves
- MLT certification through ASCP or AMT preferred.
